Initial Acupuncture Intake & Treatment

The first treatment includes an intake, in which I review what is going on with the client and what they would like for me to treat. By using the Traditional Chinese Medicine technique of taking the pulses and looking at the tongue, I am able to formulate a personalized diagnosis and treatment protocol. After this, I work with my client to formulate a treatment procedure and proceed with it. In addition to acupuncture, the treatment may include craniosacral therapy and energy work.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves inserting very thin needles through a person's skin at specific points on the body, to various depths. Qi is said to flow through meridians, or pathways, in the human body. These meridians and energy flows are accessible through over 360 acupuncture points. Inserting needles into these points with appropriate combinations is said to bring the energy flow back into proper balance.
